Odoo Community has no currency-rate provider; that ships only with Enterprise Accounting. Any Community database working in more than one currency is left typing rates in by hand.

This module adds a daily scheduled job that fetches rates and writes them as standard Odoo currency rates, for every active currency and relative to each company's own currency. A rate you have entered by hand for the day is kept unless you choose to overwrite it.

It writes only standard Odoo rate records, so it carries no lock-in: if the database later moves to Enterprise, which brings its own provider, the module can be uninstalled and the rates it wrote stay where they are.
